Eggs and decorations will supplied. But for those with a particular vision and/or phobias about decorating eggs in public places, feel free to bring your own geegaws or fully decorate your egg at home.

6:30 – 8pm

DASH (District Alliance for Safe Housing), is a local organization addressing the overwhelming lack of housing and social services for victims of domestic violence. DASH helps women and children rebuild their lives on their own terms. DASH works to ensure access to safe and sustainable refuge for victims of domestic violence through the development and management of safe housing and related services.

Drink specials!!! Baked goods!!! Excessive punctuation!!! Read on!!!

Food drive: for all those who purchased a few extra items while grocery shopping, please help DASH by donating any dry or canned goods. The drive will end at the party on November 22 and you can drop off your donations anytime before then at the Derby.

“Can for Cans” … bring a non-perishable dry or canned good, and drink PBR for $1

Auction: Jerry Phillips, President of the Sunday Night Club, will MC at the party on November 22. Auction starts promptly at at 7:30pm. All proceeds go to DASH.

The second outing in our ongoing series of random answers to standard questions. For the month of November: our very own fomenter.

What’s your favorite drink and why? Nattie Boh, because it’s become a staple of the Derby and you can’t go wrong for 2 bucks.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be? Reading minds, not of people but of pets. I’d like to know what the cat is saying to me when I get home at night.
What was your favorite 5 minutes this week? Waking up Saturday morning warm, since I realized my little portable heater from Target works okay.
What’s the most personal thing you feel comfortable admitting here? I like when the Yankees win, I think I like these guys.
What did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be a cowboy like Clint Eastwood.
What’s your favorite game in life? All sporting activities, but mostly tennis and biking. Tennis is getting harder because my knees are getting weak, but I’m starting to like biking in Rock Creek Park on the weekends with my friends.
What’s something you can tell us about another Sunday Night Club member that we might not already know? Sanjay likes to talk to people late at night, CC hasnt been back from Brazil (does anyone know anything about that?), Nalini likes it when people bring over Chinese food after she has been on long travel.
What was the first band you ever saw perform live? The Gypsy Kings
What are some of your favorite songs? Most Beatles are a safe bet, U2, I also like Queen, and Olivia Newton John believe it or not.
What foods could you gorge on regularly? Sushi, steak, pasta, and paella
Why are you a member of the Sunday Night Club? Love being with good people.

What’s your favorite drink and why? “The Jerry” – Ginger ale, cranberry and seltzer water with lemon/lime. It’s safe.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be? To inspire everyone to enjoy life; to be an ambassador of human unity and love.
What was your favorite 5 minutes this week? Sunday morning: my meditative moments in the Franciscan Monastery Garden.
What’s the most personal thing you feel comfortable admitting here? I love people watching, nature, and a woman’s charm.
What did you want to be when you grew up? A Catholic priest or a broadcaster.
What’s your favorite game in life? 5 & 10 cent Pokka, Monopoly, and the game of catching fish.

What was the first band you ever saw perform live? The National Symphony Orchestra, the Basie Band, and the Motown Review.
